Before Tattoo Removal

Prepare your skin, prepare your mind, and prepare for great results.

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks
  • Shave the area if needed (no waxing or plucking)
  • Drink lots of water, and stay away from alcohol and smoking
  • Arrive with clean, lotion-free skin. Ask us about prescription numbing options
  • Discuss medications or health questions with the doctor
  • We’ll estimate how many sessions you may need and set realistic expectations

Our Goal: A safe, accurate starting point for a successful removal.

DURING YOUR SESSION

Doctor-led care, advanced technology, and a supportive environment.

  • The laser pulses target ink while protecting surrounding skin
  • All present in the room will be equipped with protective glasses
  • You may bring a friend or family member for support but please note, no children are allowed in the laser room
  • Sessions are not long, usually just a few minutes depending on size
  • You will feel a warm, snapping sensation (similar to a rubber band)
  • Cooling and soothing techniques are used to maximize comfort
  • We track progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed
  • Take as many breaks as needed. Your comfort is our top priority

Our Goal:  Safe, effective ink breakdown with minimal discomfort.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

Healing is part of the journey, and we’ll guide you through it.

  • Keep the area protected from the sun for at least 72 hours
  • No exercise for the first 48 hours, then exercise is encouraged
  • Apply ointment as directed
  • Drink lots of water for best results
  • Expect temporary redness, swelling, soreness, "frosting," and occasionally blistering
  • Do not pick or scratch the treated area
  • Follow-up sessions are typically spaced at least 8 weeks apart

Our Goal:  Proper healing between sessions to achieve the clearest results.
